This 49-credit major, one of two in the Master of Public and International Affairs degree, explores issues that are emerging and just being recognized as challenges to international security. Some of these new threats to national and international security include forms of terrorism and transnational crime. Other threats arise from international competition for natural resources, including oil, food and water, and epidemic diseases.
